About the website and campaign . . .

..

Many elections are decided in the week prior to the election.  This fact was clearly demonstrated when Mark Green lost to Michael Bloomberg in the election for Mayor of the City of New York in 2001, which proves anything can happen during those final days prior to the election.  Therefore, since there are 29 days left to the General Election as of Monday October 9th, there is more than enough time left for Bill Murawski and Donald Winkfield to convince you to elect Bill Murawski as Governor and Donald Winkfield as Lt. Governor.

Bill Murawski and Donald Winkfield first met in 2004 investigating the illegal and constructive eviction of a long-time consumer advocate Florence M. Rice, who hails from Harlem and who was 85 years old at the time.  Soon thereafter, Bill invited Donald to be a guest on his public access television show to discuss the matter and soon found they were "Sons of Different Mothers" (a phrase taken from the album Twin Sons of Different Mothers) and to this day Donald remains on the show as one of its hosts with Bill upsetting the career politicians and their politrical hacks show by show.

Although Bill grew up in Hell's Kitchen and Donald in Harlem -- two of the most well-known neighborhoods in America and as different from night and day on the surface -- they share the same belief  that the good old basics of family values and human rights must be re-established for our democratic society to survive.  And they have the plan to do it!

The Phoenix Bird Rising Project (Bill first developed in 1995 as a local neighborhood park project, was ignored by the local politicians for reasons known only to them) has blossomed into a full-fledged economic recovery plan that will create meaningful jobs all across the state once it is fully implemented in the state one neighborhood, one village, one town and one city at a time.

Bill Murawski and Donald Winkfield are not career politicians like most other candidates who run for an elective office.  They also do not have major mega-bucks to hire spin-doctors and media consultants to present their case to the public with fancy websites and television commercials filled with propaganda using sound-bites of how they will work for We the People.  Simply stated, Billl Murawski and Donald Winkfield do what needs to be done because it is the right thing to do.

Unlike other candidates for Governor who select a candidate for running mate position of Lt. Governor because of political reasons (like Attorney General Eliot Spitzer),  Bill and Donald decided together that something must be done about the dysfunctional government that operates within the borders of New York State.  And that's why they entered into this election.  Since both Bill and Donald have worked hard for many years uncovering fraud, waste and abuse in our government, you can count on them to continue to separate the facts from the fiction to address the source of the problem in the areas requiring emergency triage repairs such as housing, education and the courts. It is often stated, "leopards don't change their spots" and therefore you don't have to worry about Bill and Donald changing their ways once they are elected into office.

Bill began his maiden voyage into city politics in 1995 when he did not fall for the false promises of former Mayor Rudolph Giuliani's administration that the illegal and immoral privatization of DeWitt Clinton Park was the answer to renovating the long-forgotten park, whioch was the Poster Child of all city parks.  Instead of believing the lies and promisies put forth by the local elected officials and their appointed political hacks, he sued the Giuliani administration when he uncovered the entrenched corruption within in the Parks Department and Manhattan Community Board 4.  And since he found so much corruption (the city approved a known international career to privatize the park) in the city government regarding public parks,  Bill decided to take a closer look into other issues such as housing and education.

Donald on the other hand, began his career 25 years ago in law enforcement working in various government agencies as a public servant.  While working for the Corrections Department of the City of New York, he discovered that something was just not right and decided to report the matter to the appropriate authorities through the chain of command, which always fell on deaf ears. After informing several politicians about the matters at the corrections department to no avail, and then while meeting with the soon to be and now late Councilmember James E. Davis when he was running for city council, Donald met the editor and publisher of the of the Black Star News and soon thereafter became an investigative reporter for that newspaper, which is not afraid to reveal the hidden truth about the problems in today's society like other media organizations.

And as they say, the rest is history!

It is also said that good things take time . . .

As previously stated, Bill and Donald have long been exposing corruption in various areas of our government by separating the facts from the fiction, which our elected officials would have you believe. Since it has taken them more than ten years to get to this point in time, they ask that you take your time in reviewing the issues posted on this site very carefully and that you also have the patience in waiting for many of the issues to presented on the site, which will be done on a weekly basis.

Bill and Donald are not asking you to join any mailing list, but you can if you want.  This website is designed in such a way that all you have to do is to click on the "What's New" hyper-link so you can read about the information that has been added since your last visit. By structuring the site as such, you don't have to rely on getting a gazillion emails from them as one does and expects from other career-politician candidates in presenting their propaganda and false promises.  But in the meantime, however you can watch Bill Murawski and Donald Winkfield on the award winning television public access television show DeWitt Clinton Express.  Tune in and hear what they have to say about the issues and the election every Sunday evening at 7:30 p.m., which is in the same time slot as 60 Minutes.
