Announcing the 7 Day Campaign Plan

I first voted in 1992 when Ross Perot convinced many people that there was a light at the end of the tunnel for political reform.  In the corporate world the method that he chose is called "top-down" marketing - a marheting plan that stimulates the public to buy into a product.  The product that Mr. Perot was offering had to do with true reform and giving the government back into the hand of the people.  It worked because he received 19% of the popular vote.  He invested his time and money wisely because he got people like me to register for the first time and to go to the voting booth and vote for him.  That was nine years ago.

When I decided to enter into the political world, realizing full-well the accomplishments of Ross Perot, I decided to build a grass roots platform on reform.  Although I knew it would take a good number of years to develop a following, I was willing to put in the time and effort as well as to make personal sacrifices to get our city government back into the hands of the people.  This grass-roots effort is described in the corporate world as "bottoms-up" marketing.  Before I would take a serious run for getting elected into public office, I would have to conduct marketing research on the business of politics in New York City.

Not to bore you with the details, I entered into three races for educational research.  It was important for me to get to know the "players" in the game, how they played it and who was on what team.  Most importantly, I had to learn the rules of the game if I was ever to win an election in New York City.  Well, the education is over and the 7 Day Campaign that I developed is now in progress.  The experience of having my civil rights violated by NYPD, the intimidation of the threats of arrest and the many areas of city government I learned about were well taught lessons.

The 7 Day Campaign is specifically designed for write-in candidates and/or those with limited funds.  I intentionally did not solicit campaign funds from anyone but accepted them if they were offered.  I did not want to owe anything to anyone except for the people.  As a former goalie in the game of hockey, I am viewing the 7 Day Campaign for Public Advocate in a three period game - the final game of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.  The first period begins with the announcement of the 7 Day Campaign.  The first part of it is as follows and I do hope you will participate as a member of my team.

The 7 Day Campaign

The home page of the website is designed to be printed on two 8 1/2 x 11 sheets of paper.  When they are printed, my name clearly stands out for the position that is sought - name recognition is the name of the game. The website address is also printed on each page.  If you agree with my platform and ideas, you can do the following.

1) Print out the home page of the website and have it copied to a one sheet, two-sided handout and distribute them to your family,  friends, business associates, student and teachers at local schools, the local business that you do business with and anyone else who you can think of.  The cost of money and time is minimal.  I am not asking you to spend hours and hours doing this.  The purpose is to educate people in this very important election year.

2) Forward any press release that you receive to all of your email addresses - even if they do not live in New York City.  Everyone knows someone in New York City.  There are two instances of success that have been used by this "word-of-mouth" method.  One is a successful shampoo commercial many years ago that stated " and you tell 2 friends and son and so on ...".  Another instance that comes to mind was the union demonstration against the MTA a few years ago that brought out 40,000 union members in a week.  Three organizers that I met sat down for breakfast one morning and decided that each one of them would call five union brothers and sisters and those five would call five and so on.  They expected about 10,000 and 40,000 showed with a plan that was discussed over breakfast less than 7 days before the planned demonstration!  NYPD was overwhelmed because there were only 100 police officers assigned.

More steps will follow in this 7 Day Campaign plan -- notice will be sent by email press release.

Thank you in advance for your consideration and support in this very important election year.

Help elect me as your public advocate.  I will continue to fight for the way life should be in New York City because I am the only candidate who knows and cares about how good it can be!

I became a community activist in 1995. Because of my success as an activist and uncovering corruption in the system, I gave up my successful corporate career of 30 years in the computer field in 1997 to concentrate on building a career as an advocate for all.

My word of honor!

It's unfortunate that money talks and everyone else walks in today's society. Contribute what you can to help me get elected.

One of my strenghts is that of an educator. Take a look at the community cable projects that I've done. Clips from the shows are due by the beginning of September.
