Educate Yourself - Protect You and Your Family!

Our elected officials are charged with the protection of the public health -- a complex task considering the amount of pollution that is generated by the technology required to keep major metropolises such as New York City, operating on a 24 hour, 7 day a week basis.  Pollution causes both transient and chronic illnesses from such causes as toxic releases from vehicles and industry.  Those  minute particles of material circulating in the air which we refer to as "smog" are actually called particulate matter (PM) pollution.  As a result of the attack on the Twin Towers in NYC on September 11, 2001, there is an even greater concern for our air quality in and around the site of this tragedy.

Watching the disaster of the WTC attack on television and seeing our uniformed emergency services -- fire, police, other services like the EMT's -- and  many volunteers not using protective equipment or wearing woefully inadequate gear for the dangers around them sends shudders up my spine! Watching these scenes and having knowledge of the injury that the reckless and irresponsible actions of recent years' mass-spraying of deadly man-made chemical poisonous pesticides,  makes it all the more important to educate the public in safety measures. Take some time to educate yourself in order to better protect you and your family.  Write, fax and email your elected officials and demand them to tell the truth about these threats.

.

Watching the aftermath of the terrorist attack on the Twin Towers in NYC  it becomes more and more clear that we are not prepared to protect ourselves in cases like this. People wear paper masks or none at all when they should be wearing equipment that offers the maximum protection until after it is determined the exact chemicals that are in the air.  Is it asbestos? Lead? Other poisons? Although the asbestos testing reported by the EPA was at 2 to 3 percent levels, which is only 2 percentage points above the 1% "danger zone", this an INCORRECT and therefore misleading statement because that rating is on bulk asbestos and NOT on  airborne particles.  See BusinessWeek  article. Link to the Aftermath Page for further important information.

I became concerned about the West Nile Virus and the mass-spraying efforts that began in New York City in 1999 as I am sure you did.  When I was involved with running a youth baseball team for the kids in the community, I began to hear the parents talk about taking their kids to the hospital emergency rooms and then all of a sudden, children that never suffered with asthma were diagnosed with the illness. Click on the link to the left and get yourself educated about the facts and the fiction of the virus and the dangerous chemicals that have been and are continued to be used.

There are all types of poisons that are used to "protect" and to "heal" us.  Visit the Poison Page that is dedicated to those elected officials who ignore the health and welfare of people.  Instead of outlawing deadly man-made poisonous chemical pesticides,  they instead provide companies a license to sell  poisonous substances claiming that they are safe to use by virtue of having their products "registered" with the government.  And to make matters worse, companies are being pressure through the levying of fines, to cease promoting the use of safe alternatives to the "government registered poisons"..

When the word ENVIRONMENT is mentioned, the first things that come to mind are the resources of Mother Nature - rivers, oceans, streams, forests, and the air.  We as people, with the many species of animals, birds and insects, are inhabitants of this planet and are part of that very important environment.  As is shown and documented in the Academy Award winning film Erin Brockovich, which is about a chemical company that hides the evidence of poisoning a community, it is more important than ever that we take action against the poisoning of the environment that affects all living creatures of this planet! Remember, we are what we eat, drink and breathe.

Help elect me as your public advocate.  I will continue to fight for the way life should be in New York City because I am the only candidate who knows and cares about how good it can be!

..

I became a community activist in 1995. Because of my success as an activist and uncovering corruption in the system, I gave up my successful corporate career of 30 years in the computer field in 1997 to concentrate on building a career as an advocate for all.

My word of honor!

It's unfortunate that money talks and everyone else walks in today's society. Contribute what you can to help me get elected.

One of my strenghts is that of an educator. Take a look at the community cable projects that I've done. Clips from the shows are due by the beginning of September.
